LeanWerks, a growing Utah-based precision manufacturing and engineering company, is looking for a Journey Level Machinist / Senior Set-Up Technician who will support the manufacturing and engineering functions and has the potential to grow. The successful candidate will have a Journeyworker machinist certificate or equivalent skill level, at least 10 years of machining experience, a good working knowledge of GD&T, proficiency with CAD/CAM systems, and most importantly be passionate about manufacturing. Experience in aerospace manufacturing is a plus. A deep sense of responsibility, resourcefulness, and good listening skills are essential.
This opportunity includes the following responsibilities:

- Develop machine tool centric manufacturing processes:
- Select order of operations
- Cutting tool selection
- CNC programming
- Design and implement robust work-holding
- Collaborate on in-process quality controls
- Set-up and run first article and early stage production parts:
- Process troubleshooting
- Tool path optimization
- Establish routines for load/unload, in-process inspections, & workcenter housekeeping
- Collaborate on development of standards and techniques to followed in production
- Adhere to documentation and file management standards
- Mentor and train apprentices:
- Participate in and contribute to LeanWerks’ Technical Excellence Training (TExT) apprenticeship
- Create skill development assignments
- Evaluate apprentice skill demonstrations for approval
- Continuous improvement and 6S:
- Daily clean-up
- Contribute to improvement initiatives
