Extreme Conditions Demand Better Manufacturing
LeanWerks is a precision manufacturing machine shop with the capabilities and expertise to perform in the most demanding industrial environments. We apply engineering principles to our CNC machining processes to deliver highly consistent components and assemblies with repeatable accuracy and reliability across ongoing production requirements.
Our team integrates advanced CNC machining technologies with rigorous quality control systems to ensure every part meets exact specifications. Whether the application requires tight tolerances, complex geometries, or high-performance materials, LeanWerks provides solutions that enhance durability, efficiency, and operational consistency across a wide range of industries.
Advanced CNC Machining Capabilities for High-Performance Applications
LeanWerks offers a comprehensive suite of machining services designed to support complex, high-specification components for both initial production and long-term repeat manufacturing. Our facility is equipped to handle everything from low-volume production runs to high-volume ongoing requirements, while maintaining strict adherence to dimensional accuracy and surface finish standards.
Our core capabilities include:
- CNC Machining for multi-axis, high-precision component manufacturing
- CNC Turning for cylindrical parts requiring tight concentricity and fine finishes
- CNC Milling for intricate geometries and complex surface profiles
- Precision Machining for components with micron-level tolerances
We work with a broad range of materials, including high-strength alloys, hardened steels, aluminum, titanium, and engineered plastics. Each machining process is optimized through advanced programming, tooling strategies, and in-process inspection to minimize variability and maximize repeatability.
By relying on automation and lean manufacturing principles, we reduce cycle times while maintaining exceptional quality standards. This ensures that customers with recurring and program-based requirements receive quality conforming components that are reliable under stress and over time.

CNC Machining for Extreme Conditions and Critical Environments
Industries such as aerospace, defense, medical, and mobile hydraulics demand more than standard manufacturing; they require CNC machining processes that are engineered to perform in extreme conditions. These environments often involve:
- High pressures and dynamic loads
- Elevated temperatures and thermal cycling
- Abrasive wear and corrosive exposure
- Tight tolerances with zero margin for error
We address these challenges through disciplined process control and manufacturability-focused collaboration. We work closely with customers to support part designs for efficient and repeatable manufacturing while preserving functional intent. This includes optimizing machining strategies, material selection guidance, and ensuring compatibility with downstream applications.
Consistency is critical in these sectors, especially for mature products, MRO requirements, and long-term program work. Even minor deviations can result in performance degradation or system failure. We emphasize statistical process control for repeatability, advanced metrology for dimensional verification, and documented quality systems for full traceability. The result is a stable, repeatable manufacturing process that supports long-term reliability in the field.

From Machined Components to Fully Assembled Systems
Beyond machining, LeanWerks’ capabilities provide value-added services that streamline production and support long-term supply continuity. Our integrated approach allows customers to source complete solutions from a single, accountable partner. Key capabilities include:
- Assembly & Testing to deliver ready-to-install components and systems
- Machined Castings & Forging for parts requiring intricate geometry, enhanced strength, and structural integrity
Machined castings and forgings are particularly critical in applications where the combination of geometry and material properties must support high stress and fatigue resistance. Our team ensures that these components are precisely machined to final specifications, maintaining the integrity of the base material while achieving the required tolerances.
Assembly services are supported by detailed work instructions, controlled environments, and functional testing protocols. This ensures that every assembled unit has completed all required testing before it reaches the customer. By consolidating machining, assembly, and testing under one roof, we reduce lead times, improve quality control, and simplify program management for ongoing and repeat requirements.
Built to Perform, Engineered to Last
Every component produced by LeanWerks reflects a commitment to improving customer performance through disciplined, engineered CNC machining processes. From initial production through ongoing manufacturing, our processes are designed to deliver measurable value in the form of improved quality, reliable delivery, and enhanced customer service.
We understand that in extreme environments, reliability is not optional; it is a requirement. That is why we focus on precision at every stage, from machining and quality control to assembly and testing. Beyond initial production, our team provides continuous process improvement to support repeat requirements and long-term program success.

Case Studies from the Shop Floor of Our Precision CNC Machining Facility
Inconel Hog-Out
This part is called a thrust brace – used in a downhole tool in the oil and gas drilling industry. It may look simple, but our customer’s previous supplier just couldn’t get the tolerances right, causing stakeholders to accept higher than desired failure rates (because they didn’t think a better way was possible). We took a fresh look at the manufacturing process and came up with a way to nail the precision requirements.
Plug Valve Inserts
In the oil and gas pressure pumping industry, where activities like hydraulic fracturing, acidizing, cementing, and other well interventions are performed, working fluids are nasty, and pressures are dangerously high. Flow control of the highest-pressure fluids (15,000 psi) is achieved using plug valves.
Aluminum Investment Casting
LeanWerks rose to the challenges of manufacturing this complex, close-tolerance jet engine part.
Many shops avoid machining complex castings because of the variability of the beginning form and tricky work-holding requirements. Many design engineers delight in the use of investment castings because they offer intricacy of form with good dimensional precision relative to other casting processes.
Despite their relatively good dimensional precision, investment castings still require machining processes to achieve precision fits and function in high-performance assemblies.
